About the Role

With a proven track-record of effective working as a key part of a talented team of highly experienced and self-motivated professional engineers, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for delivery across complex, hazardous projects in a highly regulated fields, such as nuclear, maritime, aviation or ordnance. Capable of working with minimal supervision, the Senior Engineer is able to lead small teams of peers to deliver clearly defined, yet complex, technical projects.  The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically, applying their knowledge to a range of new technical challenges, whilst ensuring good partnerships and quality assurance are maintained. The Job Duties

  • Empowers teams of engineers to deliver technical aspects of a project

  • Capable of collaborative working with minimal supervision

  • Undertake activities as directed by Technical Directors and Principal Engineers

  • Conduct complex technical investigations

  • Articulates project outcomes across a broad stakeholder base

  • Provide technical guidance for peers as required

  • Responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations and providing quality assurance

  • Implement company policies

Essential Requirements

  • Ideally holding at least a BEng degree

  • Highly technically capable within own discipline

  • Evidence of analysing and presenting complex data

  • Professionally Registered as a Incorporated Engineer with the UK Engineering Council

  • Member of a UK Professional Engineering Institution

  • Committed to participating in professional development activities and own professional development

  • 5+ years’ experience in a highly regulated engineering discipline

  • Ability to communicate at all levels

  • Excellent negotiation and decision making skills

  • Security Cleared
